Bring in a paper copy of a broad sheet newspaper article – can be printed from online resource.
Must be between 650 words – 1,500 words.
Summarise the article in 5 bullet points – using own words.
Identify the tone the writer is using and explain why you think that.
Select 7 examples of emotive word choice.
Analyse each of these using the formula connotations and effect.
You must have four connotations for each word.
Identify at least two images and explain them using just as…… so too.
Identify 5 examples of sentence structure – not commas, ! or full stops.
Select a quotation from the final paragraph and explain how it refers to an idea in an earlier paragraph.
