Hi folks,
A few of you have asked me for a reminder of how to go about answering the final question in close reading. You definitely have notes on this in your folder but here is a reminder:
Firstly, follow the SQA's overall advice to get you started - "candidates can use bullet points in this final question, or write a number of linked statements" - and identify three key areas of agreement/disagreement (depending on what is being asked of you in the question) in the two passages.
Secondly, you can follow the structure below to help you:
Mini-introduction First area of agreement/disagreement with evidence from both passages and analysis Second area of agreement/disagreement with evidence from both passages and analysis Third area of agreement/disagreement with evidence from both passages and analysis Mini-conclusion
You can use sub-headings to break up the ideas if you find it easier.
