Hey Just want to check what is characterisation what is writing technique/ setting!! 'It seemed to her that her life was narrowing down to a vanishing point. People flowed around her, crossing the road, moving on. But she stayed still. (is this setting?) Thoughts in her head- 'She slammed down on top of it something heavy and wide and flat, sealing up the edges, tight as a clam.' (is this characterisation or technique cos its an image?) when stella sees someone heading for her she feels trapped, 'looming over her' (is the characterisation?) apologies for the many questions on things i should probably know! no doubt I'll come across more as I get on.... Hi,
Feel free to fire whatever questions you have my way. Always happy to help.
'It seemed to her that her life was narrowing down to a vanishing point. People flowed around her, crossing the road, moving on. But she stayed still. (is this setting?)It is characterisation as it is not a literal road and focus on what it says about her personality.
Thoughts in her head- 'She slammed down on top of it something heavy and wide and flat, sealing up the edges, tight as a clam.' (is this characterisation or technique cos its an image?)characterisation
when stella sees someone heading for her she feels trapped, 'looming over her' (is the characterisation? You are correct)
apologies for the many questions on things i should probably know!don't need to apologise no doubt I'll come across more as I get on....
Howie Hope this helps. ;D
